Character Introduction
Veronica (5★ Passion · Ranger) is a hybrid support DPS combatant in Chaos Zero Nightmare whose kit revolves around Ballista generation, card draw, and passive extra damage. Her signature mechanic involves creating Ballista cards — ephemeral Extra Attack cards that automatically trigger at the end of each turn at 0 AP cost — primarily through cards like Firing Preparation and reload-boosting upgrades. These costless Ballistas deal consistent damage every turn, forming the backbone of her offensive output while freeing up AP for other team actions.
In addition to her damage engine, Veronica’s Repose skill provides powerful card draw and shields, letting her cycle through allies’ decks efficiently and support team combo execution. Cards like Pendant of Resolution convert allied Skill plays into Reload stacks, which further amplify Ballista damage when stacked up to three times. Her Ego Skill, Hunting Time, deals heavy piercing damage to all enemies and grants maximum Reload, enabling bursts of amplified Ballista output. Played well, Veronica serves as both a draw engine and supplementary damage source, excelling in setups where sustained extra attacks and efficient resource generation underpin team performance.
