Increase Damage, Shield Gain, and Heal Amounts of the assigned Combatants Retain Cards by 15(30)%.
At the end of the turn, deal Fixed Damage to all enemies equal to 15(30)% for each Retained card of the assigned combatant.
+5% Damage for enemies with the Instinct attribute.
Legato of Faith(3 EP):
Heal 100%. Activate the Retain effect of all cards held by the assigned combatant.
Noel is the perfect engine for Orlea. The 15% boost to Damage, Shields, and Healing specifically for Retain cards applies to Orlea’s entire Creation kit (Softie, Toughie, Swiftie). Furthermore, Orlea consistently holds 3+ Retained cards, meaning Noel deals 45%+ AoE Fixed Damage every single turn for free, capitalizing on Orlea's hand-camping playstyle.
2) 4★ Arwen (ME4)
💡
The assigned combatant's HP and healing are increased by 8(12)%.
At the start of the turn, gain [Ponopoko's Cheer] equal to the number of enemies with attack intentions.
[Ponopoko's Cheer]: Incoming Damage is reduced by 10(20)%. Upon activation, remove Ponopoko's Cheer (stacks up to 3 times).
Pokopo ponpon! (3 EP):
Heal 200%. Apply 1 Damage Reduction.
Ponopoko’s Cheer provides up to 60% Damage Reduction, which is significantly more effective than Defense because it applies to the final damage received. The 12% Healing boost also scales her Sturdie and Material Regeneration output, ensuring she stays topped off.
3) 4★ Arwen (ME0)
This is a high-value budget option. While the damage reduction is lower (10% per stack), the mechanic remains superior to raw Defense stats for survival. It provides the same essential healing boost (8%) to help Orlea's Softie creations keep the team healthy during the setup turns.
4) 3★ Yvonne (ME4)
💡
The assigned combatant's Defense is increased by 8(16)%.
If the combatant ends the turn without using an attack card, Heal 30(60)% at the start of the next turn.
Consecration (2 EP):
Heal 100%. For 1 turn, gain 1 Fortitude.
Orlea often spends turns purely generating or merging Creations without using an attack card. Yvonne rewards this with a massive 60% Heal at the start of the next turn. While it discourages using her 0-AP Swiftie attacks, it makes Orlea an almost immortal solo-sustain unit in high-pressure fights.
5) 5★ Nyx (ME0)
💡
The assigned combatant's HP and healing are increased by 8(16)%.
When the assigned combatant Draws for the first time each turn using an ability, +8(16)% Damage dealt by allies for 1 turn.
Errante Hurricane(4 EP):
Discard up to 3 cards, then Draw +1 cards equal to the number discarded.
Orlea's kit focuses on creating cards rather than drawing them. While Nyx provides a +8% Damage buff, it only triggers when Orlea "Draws for the first time each turn using an ability." Since Orlea’s generators create cards directly into the hand, this buff has lower uptime on her than on other Controllers, though the passive HP/Healing boost is still helpful.
6) 4★ Alyssa (ME4)
💡
The assigned combatant's Defense is increased by 12(24)%.
At the end of battle, recover 3(6)% Health.
Vitality Boosting Potion(2 EP):
Heal 100%. When in an Injured state, increase Healing Amount by 50%.1 Morale for 1 turn.
The 24% Defense boost looks good on paper, but because of the 50% efficiency penalty on "Additional Defense" in the shield/heal formula, this only provides a marginal increase to Orlea’s Toughie shields. The "end of battle" heal is also useless in a tactical combat scenario.
7) 4★ Alyssa (ME0)
💡
The assigned combatant's Defense is increased by 12(24)%.
At the end of battle, recover 3(6)% Health.
Vitality Boosting Potion(2 EP):
Heal 100%. When in an Injured state, increase Healing Amount by 50%.1 Morale for 1 turn.
As the weakest option, the 12% Defense boost provides negligible survival for Orlea. Given her base 197 DEF, this partner adds very little to the shield/heal formula and should be replaced by Noel or Arwen as soon as possible to improve Orlea's performance.
