Character Introduction
Kayron (5★ Void · Psionic) is a high-damage combatant in Chaos Zero Nightmare whose kit revolves around Futility cards and deck exhaustion mechanics. He generates Futility cards — initially status cards that do nothing — through attacks and skills, then uses Oath of Vanity upgrades to turn them into useful actions that deal damage and heal. Cards like Echoes of Futility, Brand of Annihilation, and Black Hole interact heavily with Futility, with some cards gaining damage bonuses based on the number of exhausted Futility cards in the fight, making his scaling stronger the longer a battle drags on.
Kayron’s playstyle focuses on creating, exhausting, and leveraging Futility cards to reduce costs and boost output. Exhausting Futility cards can discount high-cost attacks like Brand of Annihilation or increase damage on Black Hole, and Oath of Vanity is essential to transform Futility into attack and healing actions. His Ego Skill, Rift of Nothingness, deals AoE damage while exhausting all Futility in hand and amplifies damage per exhausted Futility, turning his resource loop into explosive burst potential. With careful card cycling and deck management, Kayron specializes in sustained and scaling void damage, making him effective for both single-target and area pressure in extended engagements.
