Character Introduction
Beryl (4★ Justice · Ranger) is a high-damage burst combatant in Chaos Zero Nightmare whose kit centers on Retain mechanics and Extra Attack scaling. Her gameplay loop revolves around retaining cards in hand across turns to activate powerful effects — most notably through the Opening Found card, whose Upgrade Epiphany grants Extra Attacks for each retained card. By stockpiling Retain cards like Opening Found and Charged Shot, Beryl can build up multiple Extra Attacks that trigger automatically each turn, turning setup into sustained offense.
To support this, cards like Guilty Pleasure draw into key Retain pieces and Heavy Weapons Specialist generates retained cards at reduced cost, enabling the setup phase without excessive AP strain. Beryl’s playstyle follows a “set up, hold, then explode” rhythm — establish a hand of Retain cards, let them sit to trigger extra hits, then use high-impact attacks like Charged Shot for devastating burst damage when ready.
Her Ego Skill, Maximum Output Charged Shot, deals strong AoE damage to all enemies, providing a secondary damage avenue when her Retain setup isn’t active.
