Main Update Details
The second update of Season 1 brings some exciting changes that make life a lot smoother for players of Chaos Zero Nightmare. Here’s a breakdown of the key improvements:
Agent Leveling Costs
Leveling up just got a lot friendlier. Level 60 Combatants now require 216,000 Units (down from a whopping 1,080,000), and Level 60 Partners need 103,800 Units (previously 519,000). Don’t worry about the Units you’ve already spent—everything will be fully refunded after the Dec 3 update.
Blackhorn Trade
Managing multiple rosters is easier than ever. Players can now trade “Crystals of Discord”—earned through Chaos gameplay—for essential growth currencies. This makes developing multiple teams more manageable without grinding endlessly.
Chaos Gameplay Tweaks
Some gameplay mechanics are getting a quality-of-life boost. Divine Delegate events now guarantee a “Reaper Feature” option, letting you battle monsters with HP fixed at 1 for three normal encounters—perfect for farming efficiently.
Save Data scoring is now displayed in real-time, giving immediate feedback on your progress, and skill animations are set to see improvements soon.
QoL & UI Updates
Party management is smoother thanks to Quick Formation, letting you swap characters on the fly. Turn counters have been added to key stages, and visual updates make Mental Breakdown states easier to track—so you’ll always know when to act strategically.
Yuki & Future Content
The developers have taken a close look at Yuki’s performance, and while there are no immediate stat buffs planned, the focus is shifting toward improving her Epiphany builds and preparing her for upcoming content like Great Rift and Codex.
Yuki’s Horizon
There’s a hint that Yuki might transition into a single-target build—likely through Epiphany tweaks—so she can truly shine in the next update. Players can look forward to seeing her full potential showcased in Great Rift and Codex battles, giving her a stronger, more defined role in team compositions.
Forbidden to Stay
Looking beyond Yuki, the update also teases new post-season content. This includes Dimensional Tunnels and Spectral Cubes rewards, which offer fresh ways to enhance your Agents and Partners:
- Dimensional Tunnels: These will appear in the Codex under certain conditions once Season 1 concludes, providing additional challenges and rewards.
- Spectral Cubes: Earned when drawing duplicates beyond the Ego Manifest limit, these cubes are versatile. Players can use them to purchase Combatant Memory Codes, Partners, Prism Modules, and more, giving even veteran players meaningful progression options.
All in all, these changes point to a more strategic and rewarding post-season experience, with Yuki’s evolution and new systems adding depth to team building and long-term gameplay.
